I have to admit each year it has surpassed all expectations and, a huge thank you to Oaxaca Taste and Amathus Drinks for making it extra special this time. It seems then, that I am left with no option other than to reserve the ballroom for 2014 and, the countdown begins again, 48 weeks to go.
I want to say a big thank you to the young dancers from West Yorkshire School of Performing Arts, Leeds and, our Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Mr Neil Hurst. I think Neil will be performing in pantomime soon at the Halifax Victoria. As usual the Mariachis and the Folkloric dancers brought a magnificent touch of Mexico to the evening.
The food was excellent and a visit from the KanKun Luchador was great fun. I could ramble on about what a great time we all had but why not follow the link and take a look at the photos.
What a great way to raise money and when we have final totals we will let everyone know where the money has gone. Of course it will be to support our work with young Chavos in Mexico City somewhere.
Shame I never did get to have a piece of that lovely Mexican cake that raised £100.00 in the auction.
