De-cluttering

Thinking!!!!

Feeling quiet, pensive. Enjoying the stillness. Only the sound of the birds chirping, the wind rustling in the trees and the farmers dog in the distance. Home alone and it’s just perfect. Not that I would want it all the time as I’m a people person, but sometimes, yes just sometimes we need space, the tranquility that solitude can give us. Don’t we?
Interestingly I have friends who tell me that they couldn’t bare to be on their own for more than a few hours. As for me, a few days is bliss, absolute bliss.

I feel that I come here to re-charge my batteries, and if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to carry on with the crazy life that I live in the UK.
So a saunter this morning around the small Spanish town which I have come to call my second home, and back to Yorkshire soon.

Meanwhile thinking about what’s next. So much on the agenda and I really do need to prioritise. Guess what image came to mind as I was typing this blog? A bag, a handbag to be precise. Though why it’s called a handbag I will never know. Because wasn’t the idea behind such a bag meant to be a small bag with just a few essentials, that girls have on hand? Well not mine, no such thing! It’s always an oversize bag stuffed to the brim with so much clutter, I can never find anything. Typically the mobile phone is lurking in the bottom somewhere and when it rings there is a mad scramble to find it before I miss the call, as I usually do.

So now sitting quietly, sipping café con leche and glancing across the plaza at my local Spanish church, images of the bag in mind.

Hum, thinking I really must tip out the contents and sort them. Some to bin, others to put away or distribute accordingly. Things that I need to deal with and missing receipts that I needed last week were there all the time. Hum! That’s life.
Sitting here thinking. And as I so definitely need to clean out that oversized, overstuffed bag, I need to de-clutter all that is on my mind too.

Write it down. Yes!

‘She emptied the thoughts from her head.’

Prioritise, make a list. Yes, I love making lists and then ticking things off when I’ve done them, don’t you?

So off to make my lists and clear out the dreaded bag.

Gonna be busy!
