(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /var/www/annamckann.com/public/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114Sitting at Malaga airport earlier this week, decisions to make; not irreversible but never the less life changing for the now!
Have you ever harboured something in your heart for a long time knowing that it was meant to be but wasn’t the right time? Of course you have, we’ve all been there! Well in my case I think it’s time to take a leap of faith and instead of keep bobbing to Spain, I think the reverse. I need to keep bobbing to the UK. I think it’s time to officially relocate. Uhm!
The Costa del Sol is calling and why is it calling me? Well there lies another story, later to be revealed. But as I realise the 3rd annual Chavos Ball is about to be held in Yorkshire one month from now, a sudden thought comes to mind. Why not have a Chavos Ball in Marbella next year? Sounds good to me! And yes I know the people who could make it happen…
Now the interesting thing is that for the past seven years I have been a regular visitor to the Murcia coast. Prior to which I frequented Andalusia and still have some good friends there. Contrasting and very different parts of Spain, they are both equally desirable depending on one’s needs at the time. For me I love the tranquillity of my rural retreat near Murcia where I find the inspiration to write. But there is nothing nicer than a long Sunday afternoon walk, a sea breeze and a little sunshine. When all the tourists have gone of course! What could be better?
So I think I’ve made the decision I just need to delegate more at the office and go. I really do need to get more vitamin D.
So where am I now? On the train to Yorkshire having attended a couple of meetings in London and guess what? There are engineering works on the line so we have to take a diverted route. Three hours, I don’t believe it. Yes, I could have been in Spain. With about 5 flights a day to Malaga from my local airports, and a turnaround time of 2hours 30, it’s not such a big decision. Is it? As for hanging around at airports it’s great for inspiration and people watching.
