Food glorious food

So what’s Anna up to now?

I have been to London again; this is becoming a regular thing. Found a brilliant, not too expensive place to stay near Marble Arch and it’s so convenient for most of the places that I need to go. The weather is just perfect this week and I could be fooled into thinking its June, not the end of September. Yesterday I met The Director of Latin American Field Programmes from Casa Alianza, and whilst we enjoyed some Mexican food – there I go, eating again – we were able to chat about projects past and present. Hopefully as that relationship is now established and being able to put a face to those emails, we will be able to work together fruitfully in the future. One thing that I must do is organise some street visits with the Casa Alianza Mexico team, next time I am there. Before Christmas hopefully!
Later I had a meeting with the lovely Mexican chefs Angeles Ayala, Marco  Cuervo, his partner Kent Bowen and the owner of Lupitas Rafael Mondragon in Villiers Street, London.  I sampled their new, yet to be introduced menu. A selection of delicious tacos; – corn tortilla topped with a scrumptious filling, slow roasted pork and shrimps, and cheese with a secret chipoltle sauce. I will most definitely be going back to sample more.

I need to spend a few days putting the finishing touches to Chavos 2 before it goes to print and then next week we celebrate ‘children’s book week,’ so I am out and about visiting schools again.
Hopefully if this nice weather continues I will be out walking early every morning with my new puppies Butler and Gracie. Just adorable they are. Awh! And I just realised one of the things on my bucket list for 2011 was to get a puppy. What did I do?  Adopted 2!

Making a bucket list every year is quite a fun thing to do. Preferable to those lists of New Year resolutions that we always break. Well I do!  So now might be the time to check what else is left on that list because the year is nearly out again.

Ah Ha! One thing was to attend a ball and dance with someone special. Well I never. Seems like that may just get crossed off too!

Luv & Stuff.
