Chavos Ball

Here’s an entertainment update for the Chavos Ball.

Only 28 days to go…

During a drinks reception guests will be entertained by the RORY INGHAM QUARTET and serenaded afterwards by Rory on trombone and Dominic on violin until Mariachi Mexteca, the UK’s leading Mariachi band, based in London make the first of their two appearances of the night. Later in the evening the Mariachis will take requests and I have already booked my slot when I have asked Salvador Hernandez to sing something which he wrote for his father several years ago. It is breathtaking. I’ll just have to dedicate it to my father on the night, who will be there enjoying a tequila.

There will be a special guest appearance by dancers from the Yorkshire School of Performing Arts, known as the WYSPA Street Dancers, who won the Britain does variety 2011 competition and will be performing their winning dance at the 02 Arena in London next Spring. What is so exciting is that the kids will perform that same dance at the Chavos Ball on the 29th October for our guests. How awesome is that?

And before the dance floor opens, last but certainly not least. Suzi Saperia, Soprano from the Guildhall School of Music and Dance London, will grace us with her presence and sing 2 pieces which I have already heard her sing and quite frankly give me goose bumps. The Laughing Song from DIE FLEDERMAUS by R. Strauss and THE PRAYER by Foster/Sager.

Don’t miss the Chavos Ball . There are a few  tickets left.

I will post the programme of events in a few days.
