If you read my blog on 14th April you will notice I said more ‘bookie chat’ later. Well, I had hoped to blog every day at the book fair but no chance of that! Absolutely exhausted and most days no chance even to grab a bite of lunch, even though I tried to schedule one in, the week turned out to be quite an exhilarating experience. Every time I planned to leave the stand for a quick sandwich someone sauntered along and of course wanted to speak to me. That said, I made up for it in the evening and ate loads of junk food, drrr…
So much for the healthy eating and weight loss plan!
So what came of the great London Book Fair? Actually more questions than answers. Lots of follow up, heaps of encouragement and positive feedback.
Meanwhile I can formally announce the forthcoming publication of my new picture book series Rianbo’s Travels. The first seven books which have been commissioned and are in development, the third will be ready before the end of the year. Though not available yet before you rush out and try to buy a copy there will be a formal book launch later this year, dates and venue yet to be released.
So here is a preview of what is coming soon.
Hope you like the doll. No guessing why she’s called Rianbo!
Translation rights and some foreign rights are available if you are reading this blog and, that might be of interest to you.
As Pablo’s Diary is finished and just waiting for proof reading, final edits, illustrations etc. I have now moved on to Marisol’s Agenda. I actually started writing these a couple of years ago so I’m now looking forward to seeing them come to completion. Of course these books in diary format tell the story of two of the characters mentioned in the Chavos novels. You can purchase the novels from Amazon now.
What has happened to me? I just feel I’m going to burst I have such a bucket load of creativity that I need to release. Especially when I think of musical theatre. Yes folks I’m desperate to see ‘Chavos the Musical’ on stage. But then all will come to pass in due time, and don’t let anyone tell you that life doesn’t get better as you get older. It’s what you make of it, it’s up to you.
Oh and I need to mention, Sharon House Publishing is now actively seeking children’s authors so check out our website if you would like to submit.
Have a great week and chat soon,
Anna
