Several walks around the local country park with Butler and Gracie my faithful doggy friends, in-between business commitments, a great school visit, planning and development sessions not to mention I even found time to do some editing and writing. I think I have discovered the 8 day week!
Very happy to be working with my favourite illustrator who I have commissioned to do the first 6 picture books in the Rianbo’s Travels series and now looking for the right illustrator to do the doodles in my next novel, Pablo’s Diary.
This writing thing certainly has taken hold of me. It seems that the more I write the more ideas I have. So that’s me being all creative and seemingly my new lease of life this past few years has been one as a writer. I never would have thought….. Which leads me into something rather funny that my little granddaughter said to me a couple of days ago.
‘Nanny, what do you want to be when you grow up?’ Bless, don’t you just love children!
It’s so true though, life certainly comes in seasons. And each season is to be treasured. I am so looking forward to developing my ideas over the next few years and working on lots of children’s books. Not to mention that awesome day when I sit in the audience to enjoy Chavos the Musical.
Sadly I seem to be dead ended with that at the moment. With the script written for all 12 scenes and much of the production planned, folks just keep letting me down. Well quite a learning curve for me that’s all I can say. I grow more in wisdom by the hour!
All things come to pass at the appointed time, don’t they?
Meanwhile, lots to do. Just agreed to attend the Yorkshire Ladies Links Conference in March 2015 and exhibit my work plus soon after that the big one,- The London Book Fair. Woop woop! Sharon House Publishing will have a very real presence at the Fair next year and again looking forward to exhibiting my books. Foreign Rights will be available.
So on that note no more blogging, #amwriting.
