Is this blog about chocolate or Lent? Well both actually, as I find myself trundling through Lent having given up chocolate. The question on everyone’s lips is of course, can she do it?
It all began when my little granddaughter came home from school and proudly announced that they had been talking about Lent in the classroom and that she had decided to give up chocolate. Bless! Obviously she had no idea of the enormity of what she was saying, and had no comprehension of the time span of 40 days and 40 nights. Needless to say after she had persuaded me that it was a lovely idea, and that we could do it together. She then went on to forgetfully eat chocolate, leaving me with the thought that perhaps I should continue this fast. So here I am, craving for chocolate but determined not to give in.
Did you know they say that it takes about 40 days to break a habit. Apparently if I can last, I will never crave chocolate again. An interesting thought! But right now #amwriting. It’s way past midnight and I NEED chocolate.
