A Mexican-inspired business idea has won the top spot at a competition thanks to one entrepreneur.
Business and Enterprise Management graduate Christopher Gowans was named winner of this year's Sheffield Hallam University Enterprise Challenge after he thought up food chain Let's Go Mexicana.
The idea centres around a street food trailer that serves Mexican food such as burritos, chile con carne and quesadillas, and which would travel around the country's festivals serving people there.
As an alternative to the burger and chips van, the idea for the Mexican fast food outlet fought off stiff competition from second place winner Rapid Sports, which designed sporting products designed to improve the performance of competitive canoeists.
Now in its 11th year, the competition aims to encourage ideas and business accruement in students who would not get the opportunity to showcase their ideas elsewhere.
Some 91 teams entered this year's competition and 15 were invited to put forward business plans, with five being selected as finalists.
