Orphans in Mexico are the biggest victims of Mexico's drug wars, according to a new report.
Hispanically Speaking News showed that while the Mexican authorities are facing an upheaval of continuing violence and drug infiltration, the children who have lost their homes and parents as a result of the brutalities face the biggest problems.
Named the Narco orphans because their parents fell victim to the terror of the gangs, the children are often left alone not knowing where to go or what route to follow. In some cases the children's guardians were themselves a part of the Narco gang culture.
Those taking care of the children without elders aim to break the cycle of violence, which they would have experienced around their parents when they were still alive.
The carers said that they must stop the children trying to avenge their fathers and mothers, and make sure that they have more opportunities that do not lead into the cartel lifestyle.
Children became the victim of gangs recently when they were forced to stay out of school due to bribes and threats to their teachers for money.
