Someone has just told me about Books at bedtime on Radio 4. Does anyone actually stay awake long enough to read in bed? I tried it a few times but as soon as my body realises it is in bed and especially when my head touches a pillow, I’m gone. Sleeping was never one of my problems. I have just got back from a lovely secret retreat which I certainly intend to visit more often but laughed when a work colleague asked where it was. Then it wouldn’t be a secret would it? Seems I just need to get away more and more these days even if only for a few hours to THINK. Life has become crazier than ever.
So today I am speaking at Ossett Rotary Club. That makes a change from school visits, though they do say that every grown man is a little boy at heart.
Next week sees another visit to London and after my meetings, Mestizo’s hopefully. They have promised to give me a raffle prize for the Chavos Ball, so no getting out of that one now that I have put it in print. Ha! Ha!
Plans for the Chavos Ball are going well but still some tickets left if you haven’t got yours yet. Whatever will I do when this ball is over? Sleep, no doubt!
Wow! Just a thought – I wonder if my prince will be there.
